History
Mad Bookie is a relatively new betting site, having started up in 2015. The company is Australian owned with its license issued by the Norfolk Island Gaming Authority. Its main office is located in Melbourne.
Brent Luntz started the company and built it up very quickly whilst marketing it as a site by punters, for punters, rather than a slick corporate operation. MadBookie prides itself on personal bookmaking and describes itself on their website by saying ‘We’re just a group of normal aussies blokes, just like you – you’ve probably seen us at the pub on Saturday arvo!’.
In 2017, Madbookie was bought by Playup. The company was folded and all Madbookie punters were migrated over to the Playup system, which is easily an upgrade.
